Shooting two new to me rifles today

Next, a Model 70 pre WW1 .300H&H
My eyes are not buckhorn iron sight certified any longer so this is more to verify if the rifle is as it appears to be. Good condition with a clean bore. Using old factory ammo I got with the rifle.

Also 100 yards. Oddly the first group (circled in blue) was as I expected and not bad for my poor skills with buckhorn irons.

The second group was surprising. Maybe the bore needs some copper laid down. Or likes a more fouled bore. Aiming at the center

This one is also a keeper. I just bought a Ziess Divari 3x9-36 so this might get that scope.

Hendershots is loading ammo for it now.View attachment 700826View attachment 700824View attachment 700825

I think you might have meant WW11 not WW1 because the model 70 wasn't introduced until 1936 and the 300 H&H appeared in 1925. Both after WW1.
Just saying
Beautiful rifle and great shooter

Couldn’t find any Lapua Center X so bought the SK. If that doesn’t shoot. I’ll try Eley

My 1972 BRUNO No2 really loves Winchester Black box sub sonic hollow points

50 yard 5 shot group of .172"
I bought a Hawke subsonic rimfire scope for mine with the BDC reticle. This scope you zero for fifty yards and there are labelled hash marks for 75,100,125,150,175 and 200 yard ranges.
This scope proved very accurate at all ranges. Hold on the 100 yard mark and I put five shots in a 1" group right between the eyes of the fox head target.
At 200 it's great fun and training shooting soda pop cans. Fire a shot, have a sip of coffee then look back thru the scope and watch where your bullet hits. Great fun.

Someone let me know I posted “Pre WW1” model 70. Oops :rolleyes:
@Altitude sickness
We all make the odd mistake.
Me, I'm never wrong but it's very seldom I'm right either. Figure that one out.

If'n y'all want to piss someone off at Starbucks go in and ask for a long black coffee with milk.
They will say do you want a flat white then
Tell them no I wnt a long black with milk
Really confuses the crap out of them.

I was kind of hoping this Heym wouldn’t shoot well. It’s not a caliber I need. :LOL: :cool:
I'm sure someone here would be very happy to relieve you of such a burden. ;) Especially with results like that.

BeeMaa, I may eventually do that. It’s got all the bells and whistles. And accurate with factory ammo. Hard to part with at this point. It had an odd European muzzle thread pattern. I had MagNaPort re thread it to 12x28x600 for a suppressor

But may trade for nice British SxS

Or maybe an Omega Seamaster Summer Blue...:unsure:
@BeeMaa
You can't shoot stuff with a watch mate so what use is it. It's just a look at me statement item.
I eat when I'm hungry, crap when I need it and sleep when my body tells me. Don't need no silly watch to tell me the time the sun has been doing that for me for years.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?

Hi Green Chile, I just recently bought a 470 NE barrel for my Thompson Center TCR 83-87 single shot. Im just looking for some 470 NE to shoot at the range just to try it out. I dont need anything special but I just wanted to see what you have left. I dont necessarily even need a full box.
Thanks
Bill
