Need some help and suggestions fellas. I’m looking for shooting specific prescription sunglasses. Nothing high speed, low drag, tactical operator stuff.
Im leaning towards classic wire frame and high bridge for open sight and scoped rifles.
Any suggestions on frames or companies? Post a picture of your if you can please.

I hunt in cold weather and won't wear anything that doesn't have old style nose pads. They provide the ventilation needed to keep lenses from fogging up. Also, I let someone talk me into no bifocal on shooting lenses. Don't do that. Impossible to keep score at the range or see what I'm doing if gun jams and needs to be cleared. I go with lined bifocals to preserve as much of the lens as possible for distance prescription. For my last updated lenses a few months ago I dug out an old pair of titanium frames and really like them. Lenses are not too small or too large (e.g. aviator style). And very lightweight (with polycarbonate lenses). The frames are very flexible but always recover shape instantly. For reasons unknown the screws in the hinges for wings never seem to come loose. Actually amazing. Most glasses frames I select spring loaded wings to avoid screws loosening.

Wish I could tell you the brand but I can't make it out on inside of wing ... not without my glasses on. Wait ... I have a magnifying glass downstairs ... nope. Need a microscope to read it. Really, the writing is that small!

I’ve been using a set of Beretta branded glasses for shotgunning and found them very comfortable while maintaining a high position on my face for better protection. Also work for rifle.

I’ve been wanting to see the Pilla glasses in-person to make a decision on whether or not I’m willing to invest. By all accounts, the best out there.

I also use Decot Hy-wyd for shooting. Adjustable nose piece, so you can adjust lens to your shooting postition. I only use them for on the range though.

Ordered Decot at SCI couple years ago.

I use Pilla glasses but the Rangers are very nice also. A cheaper option that I found the Wiley X to be pretty good also

I have been through this a few times. I have used Decot in the past but got tired of switching out lenses.

Since then I switched to Hunters HD Gold. I have aviation style for shotgun and I had them put the same lens on a wrap around pair (Gatorz) for handgun competitions and hunting. They adjust with light so one can see at high noon and dusk (better than with the bare eye).

As a matter of fact I will send them my frames again as now my sight is no longer 20/15 but 20/25 with stigmatism adjustment. I had left eye (dominant) at 1.25 to be able to see front sight clearly on handgun and right eye normal in the pair I have. So, will be changing the right eye lens.

What is interesting is that I go to my eye doctor with a handgun and take a shooting stance while we use the minimum adjustment until I see the front sight clearly while still seeing the chart. He is cool with that while other doctors might freak out at the suggestion.

Here is the link for the eyewear company.

I've always liked the Randolph shooting glasses for shooting clays, especially the Ranger and Edge. They can be pricey if you have to pay full retail, but I think they all have an option for a prescription lens. Clays outdoors are a good place for a colored prescription lens.

For rifle shooting, I go the other way around use the cheapest plastic crap available, like the clear lens safety glasses they give us where I work. With optics I skip prescription lenses in favor of contact lenses.

For indoor 10 meter air rifle and pistol, the funky ones you see used in the Olympics work best.
