I’m exploring options for a precision rifle chassis setup, primarily for long-range target shooting and potentially PRS competitions. I’ve been researching brands that offer modularity, stability, and compatibility with aftermarket components. Key priorities include adjustability for ergonomics, weight distribution, and overall rigidity.

Has anyone here used chassis systems from companies like MDT, Accuracy International, or similar? How do they perform in terms of accuracy consistency and ease of customization? I’d appreciate insights on real-world use - especially if you’ve compared multiple platforms.

Looking forward to your experiences and suggestions!

I just had this 7prc built by West Elk Precision in a XLR element 4.0 chassis. This is leaning towards the hunting rifle end of things, but its one of the best chassis out there. This does not weigh enough for PRS coming in at 9.5 lbs with bipod and can. MPA is the most popular and easy to find.

Shifting the topic slightly, has anyone had hands-on experience with Masterpiece Arms chassis systems? I've been looking at their models, and the feature set seems very competitive for PRS. I'm particularly curious about their long-term durability and how the ergonomics hold up during a full day on the range.

I have an MPA Matrix and I absolutely love it. The ergonomics are very configurable which makes dialling it in to your personal needs very easy.

Gunwerks endex. I am not sure if they are selling just the chasis yet, but I heard they will be inleting chasis for 700 and tikka actions. You could call them and see when they will be available/dealer.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
