ROMANIA: Chamois In Romania, How Did I Get Here?

You did a wonderful job telling the story.

Thanks for chronicling your adventure

It was a good read, and you have persuaded me to never hunt anything ever that lives on top of a mountain

In the immortal words of Taylor Swift, “like ever”

Congratulations! What an adventure, thank you for sharing

I find it interesting that there wasn't an interpreter on your hunt. My understanding is that is standard protocol for Bob Kern's hunts...maybe that's Asia only but I thought it was across the board.

Congratulations on your successful hunt.

Congratulations on getting your chamois, nice animal and beautiful background scenery. I just completed a chamois hunt in the Pyrenees in late October, very similar looking surroundings to where we hunted. We also did about 7 miles and 1400 feet of elevation gain. I found the same thing, just take it slow and easy and I was able to navigate the really steep stuff

Congrats for a great adventure !

I had an interpreter in camo but he didn’t hunt with us daily.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
