Jungle-Jim-Boots-7.jpeg

£ 250.00

After various trips to Africa, members of the Rigby team have developed a new and exclusive Rigby boot in collaboration with Courteney Boots. The concept for the “Jungle Jim” in honour of the great Jim Corbett is born. This brand-new boot is made of canvas and leather, making it lighter in weight and more comfortable in hot conditions. Moreover, the canvas body means it packs flatter than a full leather boot. In addition, the canvas material dries quicker and is more breathable, making it perfect for those African trips

Available in UK sizes 7 to 13.

In need of additional comfort? Why not try our Courteney Socks? Available to purchase here.

Ha! Just got a pair of these in to try out and possibly wear to Zimbabwe later part of October in what is supposedly hotter than hot. On my feet as I type. Wore them schlepping through the airport as I head down to meet up with another forum member for a day of double-rifle fun. Will kick them around more than just the first class seating over the coming couple days. No big hikes as the this trip is super short and focused on some fun shooting and reloading. But figure if they are comfy rushing through airports only to stand around and wait, imagine I’ll prove happy with them afield.

How is their sizing, and where did you order them from?

I ordered them from Rigby. Just go to their website and click shop, clothing, and they are there. Always super fast shipping, from London to Alaska in 2-4 days typically. I think they may run either same as the leather or slightly smaller. I have two other pair of Courteney boots from Rigby as well, leather Safari and Selous. Both of those are size 11.5 and slightly big, perfect with thicker socks plus insole but could be a 1/2 size smaller. So I ordered these in 11 expecting I’d wear thinner socks due to heat and feel like they could be 1/2 size bigger…but may also be because I’m used to my other Safaris that I have an insole and wear everyday for the last 18 months. That pair is perfectly broken in and these are just on day 4.

Thank you for your interest!

The boots can be purchased directly through the company website: https://www.johnrigbyandco.com/shop/rigby-jungle-jim-boot/

Courteney boots are all listed in UK sizing, which is not numerically aligned with US sizing. According to the Courteney size guide, a boot marked 11UK is a 11.5US. However, please also note that all Courteney boots run wide so this should be taken into consideration.

I know that there were some last year. I will check and see if they will be available this year and let you know.

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
