Just a little background, I have extensively used Burris Fastfire red dots on slug guns for deer and my Benelli turkey guns. I love red dots. I recently bought a Aimpoint T2 micro for my new 404J and this morning doing some more research on them. Also, my career work is in the optics industry and have had a lot of experience working with the parallax issues and patents on gun sights. I recognized the potential problem but this paper I found today was pretty compelling and thought it might be food for thought to some of you. Obviously cheek weld and head placement is paramount in both scopes and “parallax free” red dots. I can’t post the link but the paper is; COMPARATIVE STUDY OF RED DOT SIGHT PARALLAX by Green Eye Tactical.

A very interesting read. Liked the level of test procedures that were used. I have seen the shift they mention in several red dots. My take away is that Consistent head position with a red dot is critical for repeatable accuracy.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
