My parents recently gifted me this first edition book (African Hunting from Natal to Zambesi written by William Charles Baldwin) as a thank you.

I am not familiar with author or the history surrounding him but I will be doing further reading/research into Baldwin. I just wanted to share this as I appreciate history and I’m sure of you guys so as well.

Wasnt one of his books in the Capstick reprint series?

I had the whole series but sold it here a while back.

In the “similar threads” listed below, there is a wealth of info about the man and the book from Monish and “others” from back in 2010. Very cool book!

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
