I have been trying to get to the rifle fir sone weeks.
Now the problem is and was is that it rains so much. Normally our wet season finishes at the end of March.
Down the road a little at Mt Sophia in eight days (up until Tuesday) the officially measured rainfall was 1.2 meters (4ft).
Cairns has had in the same time frame 590mm or more that over 24 inches.
I want to check out my new Sako stock on my 270.
I had issues with the synthetic stock and it had to be replaced.
Now how simple should that be.
Gunsmith received the new walnut stock for the Sako 85 and did a heap of work.
Went to fit it.
Wrong size !!
It was a stock for a 308.
After much “discussion” gunsmith finally got the correct stock.
Will post photos of my new Von Gruff knife when it arrives from New Zealand.
Still raining (showers) but hopefully I can check where my Woodleigh 400 grain Bullets (416 Rem) are printing.
In five hours I’m practising with a 22 semi auto handgun.

That is an impressive amount of rain. My impediment to getting to the range has been work and more work before wheels up in June.

I got in a range day on Sunday. It was just above freezing, perfect weather for shooting!
