Guys, airline, personal and outfitter schedules necessitates an overnight at the Raddison Blu in Port Elizabeth, RSA. This is in the middle of June '22. Is there anything to do in that area without worrying about getting hit over the head or being involved in some other kerfuffle? TIA, Hog

NMMU Nature Reserve might have something interesting to check out.

I look forward to your trip report. I’ve been to PE many times. Like anywhere just don’t be out late at night. There are some good restaurants there.

When we overnighted in PE at the City Lodge we hit the casino, but there wasn't much going on in the middle of May, no idea about June.

We then had a great burger across the street overlooking the beach but no idea of the name of the bar and grill. All was within walking distance of City Lodge.

blue waters bay restaurant, on the beach front
great food etc

My wife and I stayed at the Raddison Blu for two nights in 2018. The day we arrived we checked in and got cleaned up, then crossed the road to a great restaurant for supper. I forget the name now but I believe it’s in my hunt report. Then it was early bedtime after two days and nights in airplanes/airports. The next day was a relax day before Marius from KMG picked us up the following morning. We started with a great breakfast at the hotel. Then we walked across the road to the beach and just wandered around taking our time until we eventually reached the pier. Some locals had tables set up selling souvenirs so of course Tina had to check them all out. We had lunch and a bucket of beers at Barney’s before slowly making our way back to the Blu. Then it was back to the same restaurant as the night before. I had calamari at all three meals. It was the best I’ve ever had. We really enjoyed our beach day in PE before being picked up for the hunt. Would do it again.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
