I found myself propping my long guns up in a corner or putting them on the couch if I was working on more than one at a time.

So I purchased a portable foldable gun rack and wish that I did it years ago.

For well under $100 delivered to my house it's working out perfectly! This Rush Creek rack holds 10 guns.

That’s a nice looking rack. My gun racks are setup for muzzle down which keeps the weight of rifle from flattening the recoil pad and any residual oil draining out as opposed into action.

I too do this with my heavier rifles in my safe (put them upside down).

Not so worried about oil since I patch it out with a few dry patches after I put oil in a barrel.

These are portable. More temporary use racks. For a range, display. Etc.

Portable rack built by my son. To be honest, it never leaves the room. My buffalo and zebra accents

I had a few spare rifles that weren't my most valuable (BPS shotgun, Browning T-Bolt rimfires, Weihrauch pneumatic, etc.) that I didn't want to buy another safe to hold. So I decided to keep them in the back of a small closet. Grabbing a few pieces of scrap oak in the workshop, I was able to cobble together a fairly nice leaning wall rack to hold seven rifles. I used a drill press to cut a series of holes in a board, cut the board in half to create a series of half circles and ran a router with a roundover bit to get rid of the sharp edges. I built one rack for home & another for the hunting camp. It's pretty simplistic but it was functional.

I see the solution- the problem was with my recent purchase of a long gun, I am now one gun over my capacity. the temporary solution was for the most difficult to damage (a Remington Nylon 66) got removed and is placed on top of the gun safe. Now I can surf the internet for a rack to provide a stable resting place for the less spendy ones.

Not a fold up one, but I have used these for temporary storage while going through and cleaning stuff in the gun safe. They used to go on sale for about $120 on midway and amazon often. For that price they have been a really nice way to temporarily keep quite a few rifles out of the way while cleaning or working on some.

They seem to be sold out on both websites right now. But they are worth looking into when in stock. Not hard to move, easy to take apart if you don't want to keep it together, spins easily, and does a good job. I did add leather all around the top "wood" piece because the felt that comes on it is flimsy. That is the one gripe I would have about it.

Once, there was an online contest to see who could make the best thing with unused Land Rover parts. Not enough people entered to make the contest worthwhile, but I really thought I had a winner with this one. I mean, what else would you do with front radius arms?

With the weight of those arms, I can't say it was really portable though...

I do not have a photo handy. Very similar to muzzle up rack difference being wider and deeper cut for butt stock and have outdoor carpet down for muzzle to rest on.

Great idea for a temp holding rack.

After Christmas sale purchase from Academy Sports for $40.
It's just vinyl coated particle board, is not durable for mobility, or fancy but works for me to keep proper guns by the backdoor.
I'm looking for a carpenter to make the same design out of cypress.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
