The rest are swamp establishment and so is Cruz too. That said, I am afraid that DeSantis would become one in short order.

How is Cruz an establishment republican exactly? Throughout his senatorial career, he has been quite unpopular within his own party and his politics have cut across the grain of the swamp establishment long before Trump ever entered into the picture. Cruz has been preaching more or less the same "America first" platform long before Trump championed the phrase..

Cruz would likely have been the republican nominee if Trump had not run. But, his lack of likeability with women, black minorities, and independents would have been problematic against HRC even though she was arguably even more unlikeable.. Trump crushed Cruz and the rest of the field not because he was likeable, but because he was relatable to working conservatives who had become the forgotten citizens in DC over that last several decades. Trump had a message that spoke directly to them that no republicans before him were wiling to say out loud. It amazes me to this day that so many just don't get that and too many are forgetting it already..

I strongly disagree that DeSantis would become an establishment republican. He has governed Florida with a "Florida first" platform, and his ideologies in Florida have been nearly identical to the national platform of Trump's. He has been the most brazen, committed, outspoken Governor in the country over the last 2 years, and the liberals' attempts to crucify him for his policies have failed at every attempt. Much to the dismay of the dems, his policies in Florida have greatly benefitted all of the residents of Florida across the entire political spectrum. Because of this, the dems across the USA hate him, and yet they are scared shitless of him at the same time.. His successes here in Florida have made the liberals look foolish at every turn... He's a working man's populist and a Constitutional conservative.. DeSantis basically is Trump without the arrogance, abrasiveness, and mean tweets.. A Trump disciple without the personality flaws is a terrifying prospect for the dems as it should be..

LOL..! Do you even realize how foolish you look when you make these posts linking left-wing propaganda media sites trying to pass them off as credible media? Don't answer.. That was a rhetorical question..

I wonder how DeSantis would have survived a four year term as president without Trump's self-confidence and means of being heard against the onslaught of DemonRats, NeverTrumpRepublicans and the MainStreamMedia. It would have been interesting to see just what Trump could have accomplished for the country had it not been for those forces

New York Lawmakers Propose Ammunition Tax of Up to 5 Cents Per Round

If passed, the bill would make New York the only state in the country with an ammunition tax, and it could double the cost of some ammo.

“Everyone knows the majority of gun crime is committed with illegally-obtained weapons and ammunition, not by law-abiding gun owners.” “I can’t imagine a single murderer deciding not to pull the trigger because the price per round went up. But we all know, ammo is becoming scarce and this attempt at driving up prices is a direct attack on the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.”

100% agree @Ray B..

I think one of Trump's other great contributions was that he set the example for other conservatives as to what confidence and determination can accomplish in the face of unrelenting opposition.

I think DeSantis has always had the confidence and determination. But, I also think Trump's example inspired him along with several other younger upcoming conservatives, many of who are from Florida.. Rubio and Scott are bandwagon ass-kissers. They are swamp republicans who have both demonstrated that they will swing whichever way the political wind is blowing. Trump has tread marks across his back from both of those guys..

I appreciate the likes of Haley, Noem, Abbot and a few of the others who have shown their defiance to DC, but some of them only did so after DeSantis stuck his neck out first, stuck to his guns, and enjoyed success in spite of the opposition and obstruction from the left.

Don't forget, Trump was also having to battle with the Republicans for the first year +. What else might he have been able to do if they had done their job and backed the Republican president instead of fighting him at every turn? Despite their getting in the way, he managed to be pretty effective.
With control of both houses, the Republicans passed a repeal of Obamacare several years in a row. When they had control of both houses and the White House, WTF happened? So at this point, it would be virtually impossible to get rid of unfortunately.
Despite the failings of the R's in Congress, they are still a much better alternative to anything the D's have to offer. If the R's blow the upcoming opportunity to win back a bunch of seats in both houses, we will see this countries fall into socialism take on new speed in the plunge.

The woman in the lower picture had her home destroyed as a child by the German army during one of the battles around Kharkov. Now her home has been destroyed again, but this time by a Russian Army using the tactics of the Wehrmacht.

In the middle photo, men and women standing in a bread line were gunned down.

The clip at top is a Russian missile striking indiscriminately among apartment buildings in Kiev. The last time missiles were used like this was by Germany in 1944 as V1 and V2 weapons were fired into London in an attempt to terrorize, demoralize, and kill civilians.

I suppose I am not surprised that a Russian dictator would assume the role of the fascist Fuhrer. It just saddens me that the Russian military, and particularly the army, have apparently become complicit in such barbarism. Heirs to the Red Army that was most responsible for the destruction of Nazi Germany, they have now assumed the Nazi mantel. I suspect that somewhere the shade of Georgy Zhukov weeps.

No, but his quotes (not the media interpretation) are as seemingly confused, inarticulate, syntax challenged and head scratching as anything rolling off Biden's dementia twisted tongue. We need to move on with someone who holds similar domestic policy views and is able to debate those articulately before a skeptical media. Desantis is a master at it, and Pompeo is nearly as good.

I also like Nicki Haley and the democrat from Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi is interjecting herself into more and more social media and Fox News political commentary. Even though she dislikes individual ownership of AR-15's, she'd make a fine republican!
That disqualifies her with a lot of us.

I may bite the bullet for someone who isn’t necessarily pro 2a, I certainly won’t for some who is admittedly against it. Neutral maybe but a soft anti is still an anti.

If we are being 100% honest it's not even close.. Trump's manner of speaking (although admittedly not refined by any measure) has been consistent for his entire media-covered adult life.. Trump got elected due in large part because of his common folk, no BS style like a guy on a construction site... Brandon, on the other hand, has now added dementia to compliment his life-long career as the undisputed heavyweight champion gaffe machine. Ironically, Brandon also got elected because Trump speaks like a guy on a construction site.

But, your point is taken..

I also think any republican nominee for 2024 will need Trump's endorsement to win. There are far too many loyal Trump supporters that would be furious if Trump was discarded by the party and the party knows it. I really don't believe that any republican candidate can win 2024 without Trump's endorsement. The same could probably be said for the 2022 elections as well..

We agree pretty much. Why I held my nose ;) last two presidential elections. Georgia will tell us a lot.

Comrade Vasher hasn’t checked in for a while. Things in Moscow are likely in free-fall.

Have any of you watched the Frontline PBS program about Putin’s rise to power and the kleptocracy theft he accelerated even worse than Yeltsin? Google it. In 2015, Putin’s worth was estimated at $40B. Probably 50% more by the start of this war. Meanwhile the median income in Russia was $871 per year. This means half the people in Russia made less than $871 per year and half made more. Unbelievable! Furthermore 110 people in Russia (oligarchs of Yeltsin & Putin) own 35% of the wealth of Russia. That’s 110 people out of about 150 million people. These figures were later confirmed by the CIA and other government agencies. Putin and cronies have amassed billions while half the citizens make under $1000 per year! I would estimate that 90% of the Russian people likely make less than $10,000 per year. There are people on this website that have bought rifles for more. Most of us have spent more than $1000 on a rifle, the Russian median income for a year.

Putin and his cronies are some of the worst people on the planet. I’m a Republican but keep this in mind the next time you hear Trump saying he likes or admires Putin. Disgraceful.
