First of all, thank you to those who have recognized my intention to have a reasoned and civil political discussion. Even though I sometimes come up short in this mission, I applaud the vast majority of contributors here for holding themselves to these same standards.

saul, what i don't understand is how a guy that is a safari, hunting guy can support a democrat that has stated he will make his 2 amendment guy the gay guy that ran (can't remember his name)

how do you vote for a guy that barely knows what country he is in? and better yet, he will be a sock puppet for...kamala harris? what an evil, ambitious self serving.....woman.

if america sucks so bad, you should move somewhere else, just my thoughts if the current president has been so bad, you should send back your tax refund, cover money, etc.

While 2A is always at the forefront of my mind during an election, I have serious doubts that the Democrats will gain control of both Congress and the WH. The electoral map is slanted heavily in favor of Republicans. Even if they do, I doubt that any restrictions would hold up to a Supreme Court challenge, which will remain conservative even if Biden can make an appointment.

I do not believe Biden has any more cognitive decline than Trump. I also find the recent line of attacks on Kamala Harris to be troubling. Since when did being ambitious become a bad thing? It seems to me that women face a double standard when it comes to career advancement.

I have never said that America sucks. I believe that America is the best country in the world and I would not want to live anywhere else. I also believe that we need to be working to make America even better.

The Democrats definitely want to control the Senate to keep Trump from appointing any more judges.

I don't know about those Senate races, but if there is a landslide for Trump, it seems that the down cards will go that direction too.

You are correct. While everyone is fixated on Trump vs Biden, the real contest is for control of Congress. We have a ton of outside money coming here to try and unseat our congressman. Same for the Texas senator.

It appears the Antifa made a appearance at the Sturgis motorcycle rally this year.

For those of you that don't know Sturgis is a small town in South Dakota USA that holds a annual rally for motorcycle enthusiast. It is about as red, white, and blue that you can get. The town expects up to 250,000 motorcyclist to show up each year for a week long party. This is the last place that I would want to be to protest.

I'm not sure what was going on at the first of the video but the police quickly escorted the protesters down the road to the cheers of the onlookers.

Watched a couple of the videos and I think he kicked a Harley as it went past...the police put him on the ground and got him away asap as the crowd weren't too happy...

I'm confused...if Kamala Harris' ancestor Hamilton Brown owned 200+ slaves in Jamaica, and she is black...how convoluted would the reparations scenario become were she to pay her fair share? Especially since some of the first slaves were out of the poor houses of Scotland (Massey's) and England, read WHITE. First slaves were indians. Some Americans came over after slavery, should they pay? Some never had slaves--so should they pay. Some are black but not descended from slaves. Don't even start about slavery in Brazil by the Portuguese--5x as many slaves as in the US, yet not talk of reparations there, the Carribean or elsewhere. Is it just our big money train that beckons? Will BLM stalk Kamala now?

You guys should take a break from patting one-another on the back and scouring the internet for more and more dopey memes ... and prepare yourselves for the inevitable ...

... that Donald Trump will lose the election in a landslide victory for Joe Biden ...

Nothing will be rigged. There won't be any fraudulent votes or voters. It will be a clear-cut, fair and square victory for Biden.

Lots of trumplings will whine, complain, and scream that the world is coming to an end ... but even that will die down after a week or two ... and most importantly ... nothing much will change.

The economy will go back to growing in a sound, normal, sustainable fashion ... just like it was when Obama was President ... before Trump threw the whole thing out of whack.

The virus will get under control and people will go back to work.

All the civil and racial unrest will come to a screeching halt ... because it was all mostly a reaction to the Trump presidency, anyway.

And no one will come to take away your guns. They may outlaw a few things like high-capacity magazines ... things that no one will ever need and no one will ever use ... but that's about it.

Things will slowly go back to normal ... and the whole Trump thing will be regarded, in retrospect, as just some strange, aberrant, anomaly ... and that will be the end of it.

Please google the year when BLM started. Civil unrest is not going to go away.

Do you mean the new normal that we keep hearing about?

I do think Joe Biden is going to win, too many people vote based on feelings rather than policy. It doesn't mean we as a country are any less F*cked but we can slide into a socialist nation at a "normal" pace so as not to upset anyone.
