so @Joker12 is implying that sitting republicans should be developing an assassination plan?

seems a bit far fetched to me.. especially when considering that depending on which poll you believe somewhere between 52 - 65% of republicans identify with or support the whole "MAGA" movement..

When tracking first started in 2022 only 38% "identified" with MAGA... now its more than half (depending on who you believe its substantially more than half)..
That's not what I suggested at all. There are constitutional ways to remove a sitting president and that's what I was referring to.

There is a singlular constitutional way.. Thats the 25th Amendment..

Section 4 of the 25th amendment allows for the VP and the cabinet to declare the President unfit for office... Does anyone really believe Vance and the current cabinet is going to do that? It takes a majority.. a couple of pissed off cabinent members means nothing at all..

and.. even if they did manage to get a majority.. it then takes a 2/3 majority vote from both the house and the senate..

thats a pipe dream at best.. especially when as already stated somewhere around 60% of republicans self identify as "MAGA"..

Furthermore.. whether thw 25th is used, or an "assassination" is successful.. that puts Vance behind the Resolute Desk..

Does anyone really believe Vance would be any less "MAGA" than Trump?

Less of an overt dick? maybe.. but who really cares about what words are used.. actions are what matters.. and Vance is significantly further right on many issues than Trump..

So why would R's that oppose Trump or D's for that matter support such an idea? Do you really think Thune, or Schumer, or any other senate or congresional leader that either opposes Trump outright or doesnt always toe the party line would rather Vance be in office right now?

I agree.

Let's call @mdwest description of 25th amendment as a "lawful coup" for the sake of brevity. I don't see it happening for a few reasons: 1.) Going against Trump is very bad for the cabinet, even if they are right, they'll be unelectable due to Trump's broad support amongst independents. 2.) The left likes hating Trump as its good for business. Their lives as anti-Trump democrats would be far worse if we had a President Vance. Vance will retain many Trump voters if he doesn't vote against Trump AND he'll gain a bunch of Republican and Independent "never Trump" voters too. A mild-mannered "Reagan-esque" young Republican is akin to a young Jack Kennedy, excellent for the majority party and terrible for the opposition.

In short, Democrats need Trump as a boogeyman to drum up their base. Metaphorically eliminating the boogeyman takes the wind out of the Dem's sails.

Trump is not a true conservative, he's a cult of personality. The left would hate a true conservative even more than Trump because the results would be far more adverse for the Democrat party, particularly the far left.

I think you and I have a different view of Mr. Vance, but I think the rest of your analysis is bang on. I would bet Democrats will be using the name Trump in their talking points in 2028 much more than Republicans. As far as I can see the Dems have no platform other than "we are not as bad as Trump" and don't seem to have much else to say.

Clearly that is not going to happen. I am not sure our VP would be much different in that seat. I am really impressed with Rubio. I hope he is at the top of the ticket in our next election.

I'd hate to see what our foreign policy would be like under Vance. He is an isolationist and very risk averse.

hes even been repeating some Peter Thiel thoughts lately on whether or not the US really wants the dollar to the the global reserve currency.. I dont necessarily dislike Vance.. and I'll take him every day and twice on Sundays if my choice is Vance vs Newsome, Harris, AOC, etc..

but..

If people think Trump is the boogeyman.. they better look out for Vance... he's far more isolationist than Trump.. he just doesnt send nearly as many mean tweets..

Rubio seems more levelheaded and listens. Even though he must represent the official policy of the POTUS many EU leaders finds him sympathatic and well spoken.

She has been opening for Hank Jr lately.

If people think inflation and US debt is bad now, wait until other countries have no reason to buy the dollar.
Inflation is not what you should worry about… it is deflation that will destroy the economy. We are on a fiat currency system, the system is designed to move the goal post.

Fun at the State Fair!

Police Attacked During Massive "Teen Brawl" At Wisconsin State Fair

The establishment media commonly uses strategic phrases to hide or omit the truth behind certain uncomfortable situations. Since the BLM era, journalists cannot simply describe a violent mob as a "black mob", even if that description is generally true. Today, one must say the words "teen brawl" in order to avoid any implications of race.

It's a very similar tactic to those used by the media in the UK whenever a migrant (or child of migrants) commits a brutal crime - Simply call the suspect a "London Man" or a "Liverpool Man" or a "Glasgow Man" and hope no one asks questions.

In the US, whenever the media uses the words "teen brawl", it's easy to conclude who was involved. The fatigue is real.

Over the weekend the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis (a suburb of Milwaukee) experienced yet another of these seemingly spontaneous outbreaks of chaos when a horde of "teens" flooded into the event and began randomly attacking anyone nearby. It should be noted that even the witnesses are reticent to admit who the culprits were, choosing their words carefully.

Witness accounts report that law enforcement officers on scene were also targeted, with multiple police suffering injuries. Dispatch audio indicates chaotic moments near the rides. "They need some help at Spin City. Send anybody extra you have," one police officer could be heard saying.

Local news reports show police attempting to break up the fights, but the assailants swarm into the fairground crowds to avoid arrest. Roving mob fights involving black "youths" are common at state fairs across the region every year. The Minnesota State Fair reported similar incidents last year and rumors suggest a "bigger brawl" is likely this year.

Why start brutal fights at the state fair? Maybe because the whole point is to ruin everyone else's day. Maybe the point is simply to create chaos and bask in the violence and misery. What is clear is that events that used to be safe for families are being turned into open melees just so urban demographics can revel in their own lack of impulse control.

The 25th amendment or strongly support impeachment, either would be fine.

Impeachment requires the same 2/3 vote… a pipe dream on its best day.. which still brings the same result.. Vance behind the resolute desk.. which is something neither the D’s or the R never trumpers want..

They’d much prefer Trump remain.. for the obvious reasons already posted by others..
