Why should they invade? Because Putin has mentally ill delusions of "grandeur" to reclaim the previous lost USSR territory

Lets put it this way.
I think he will not invade. You think he may invade. Maybe you are right.

Now lets see what happens. ;)
So far he is busy in Ukraine.

No, I don’t think Russia will attempt to invade any country in the short term based on your sound reasonings. I DO think Putin isn’t of sound mind and WOULD attempt to invade the Balkans if he could as an example if left to his own insanity. NATO IS the reluctant psychotherapist and prescription for Putin’s delusional conquest fantasies. Take a hundred cruise missiles rectally and call NATO back in the morning. LOL

My concern is that a nation like NK or a nuclear Iran would respond to the overwhelmingly superior military of the US by reasoning, OK--we will set off ONE bomb in the upper atmosphere and EMP the US into their Stone Age. A possible half to two thirds of the US could die of starvation due to EMP complications. I don't see that we have made any preparations whatsoever to address that possibility, much less the very real possibility of a major solar flare doing largely the same thing. As we spend to rebuild our stockpiles of depleted armaments, is it too much to spend a little defensively to Harden our basic electrical grid? I would say it is more important than ever.

Like every active duty General Officer, he was a War College selectee. However, not every selectee goes to the actual War College. Some with special skills or backgrounds attend equivalent very competitive studies. For instance, though an Army War College selectee, I held a fellowship at the Walsh School of Foreign Service, Contemporary Arab Studies, Georgetown University, while other selectees went to Harvard, or other major universities, or other service War Colleges. One of those alternatives is as a Senior Command and General Staff College's Advanced Operational Art Studies Fellowship (a far more advanced version of the SAMS course offered selected majors following staff college.). He is very much a War College selectee and graduate. However, as you suggest, LaNeve was Hegseth's military assistant before being nominated to the VCOS position. I have no doubt he has a high level of personal confidence in him.
A Hoya! Who knew?!

My daughter got her undergrad degree from the Walsh School. Way smarter than her old man.

She’s headed to Zambia as the U.S. Ambassador because she has extended family there. A PERMANENT position we all hope for. LOL

NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have enough street rubbish lying around here as it is ....and stop spreading malicious rumours ;)

Isn’t this guy head of the Church of England. Didn’t he invite Muslims into Windsor to celebrate the end of Ramadan.

I guess I don’t understand his whole “Defender of the Faith” oath.

My mother was a staunch royalist through and through, so made me also to a certain extent...I hate to say it but am glad she isn't around to see this..she would be heart broken and very unimpressed at this behaviour....unfortunately he is causing the royal family irreparable damage with his lunatic woke green behaviour..... needs to stand up for the nation he is supposed to represent ....but as he is a WEF subjugate that isn't going to happen.....:(

So Iran is still managing to damage installations in neighbouring countries....and blowing up this bridge in Tehran has confused even pro war Iranians...not sure how his threats to blow up more bridges and power stations is going to make the same Iranians feel....as said they don't want their infrastructure destroyed...not exactly the way to go to keep, let alone win the hearts and minds of the people I would have thought he wants on side.....I have been fully onside with this ...but the more it goes on and the Donalds yoyo statements contradict themselves, and after his speech to the nation which one journalist said was basically a copy and paste of what he has said in past few weeks....it to me seems like it ain't going to end well......but what do I know...apart from " feeling it in my bones" ...

I try to keep quiet about it down here.

although i agree with you, due process requires warrants, evidence, etc. and takes a while.

i do share your frustration tho. making the criminals pay and go to jail is the only way to stop things from happening again.
Probable cause affidavit and a Judges signature. Maybe a few hours work, tops. Most of it will be spent with the officer correcting errors.

I guess Iran was just kidding all these years with that "Death to America, Death to Israel" thing.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian denied that his nation is posing a threat to the U.S. in an open letter, and defended Iran's actions in the ongoing war, citing it as "legitimate self-defense."

In the translated four-page letter posted on X addressed to the "people of the United States" on April 1, Pezeshkian wrote that the Iranian people "harbor no enmity toward other nations, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries."

The real frustration is the inept people that were put in charge and lead the key prosecutions. It was either intentional or incompetence.

IE:
Lindsey Halligan given the Latisha James mortgage fraud case. The obvious evidence was clear, but the case was dismissed in November 2025 due to Halligans unlawful appointment
Amateur hour at best.

Thank you for the honesty; even at 50% I see that as millions of law abiding Canadians giving a vote of no confidence in their government.

I’m not hoping for any kind of violence in any way, but this is the kind of real dropping the puck kind of message I’ve been anticipating for some time.
Try 65000, not millions. There were 130000 registered firearms under this. There’s something like 7000 registered in Alberta by estimate

Likely a health issue, at least let’s hope it is something of the sort and not a slap in the face of Christianity.
I hope it’s health issues, but with the number of videos I’m seeing from all over Europe showing groups of Arab men accosting people for eating and drinking in public during Ramadan…..

I think it’s security issues.

Are American lobbyists involved
That’s the rumour, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true. I mean, your politicians seem to be in favour.

Think was mentioned earlier in the thread....regarding fertiliser and ingredients production

That’s the immediate issue, the other part is people pushing for “world wide organic farming”.

There are thinly vailed anarchists pushing this agenda because they know hunger is the ultimate weapon of mass destruction.

Yes. The effects of a high altitude or even orbital nuke detonation by a rogue power is something beyond the intellectual capacity of the MSM so not much is heard about it. Obviously many choose to whistle by the graveyard about that potential with a wingnut suicidal leadership like Iran or a secretive unknown like NK. Such an event would be obviously and instantly devastating. Even a low tech dirty bomb detonation, while not causing much kinetic damage, would have a huge terroristic effect upon the proximal population.

Reads like an April Fools joke and was ,ironically, posted on the first What a bunch of BS!

Ag input companies make more money off an organic acre than a conventional acre over the long haul. That should tell you something about the volume of conventional chemicals used to prep an acre for organic production, and the cost of organic controls chemicals, which have a much lower regulatory threshold. Acres have to be cycled in and out of organic production because, although we have developed some effective organic insecticides, no one has developed the holy grail, an organic herbicide.

As you allude to above, the other dirty fact is that likely one quarter to one third of the earth’s population would not be able to be fed without the Haber Bosch process, but don’t bother the activists with inconvenient facts!

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
