My gunsmith just finished up with my rifle this last week. I am now part of the 500 Jeffery club. Ben at Piper Rifles does unbelievable work.

This is how my build started out. I picked up a Mauser 98 action off gunbroker with some history. It was pretty beat up but I got it for $270 bucks and Ben buffed it out for me.

Probably my favorite part was picking out the stock. Ben sent me probably 20 different blanks to pick from over the course of 2 weeks. I ended up with the one on the right.

I’ll be taking this rifle to Zimbabwe and hunting the Save Valley with Guy Whittall in August 2024. Our group has 5 buffalo tags. Absolutely pumped.

Matrix spun up the barrel. As far as I know, there are only two companies that can do it. There were some modifications done afterwards by Piper Rifles.

Would also highly recommend Matrix for anyone looking for an integral barrel. They were very easy to work with. They sent progress pictures and created a beautiful barrel. They have continued to grow exponentially so I would imagine the lead times are a bit longer than what I experienced.
