Ordered my LAST African Safari rifle at DSC this year...

Guys instead of drooling there is a beautiful Heym listed here . At a bargain of a price. Compared to ordering one new

I submit that more often than not they are ordered with a leather covered pad.
Believe me, I am completely in your camp!
I have no doubt that is true. And on a rifle otherwise showing such exquisite taste and sense of tradition .....

Congratulations1 That will be.a stunning rifle.

Amazing!!! Is that elephant engraving done from a real elephant? Congratulations, I’m sure you cannot wait to have it in your hands. (y)

@Tanks I know you ordered the additional 450-400 barrel for this years lion hunt…will it arrive in time?

Now, that the rifle and the barrels are in the final polishing and then blacking stage and then the Harding receiver and parts it is time to discuss the case.
Here is the sample of one they did for someone else, mine would have space for an extra barrel and the red dot. Not sure about the orange color though.

I actually like the contrasting look. I doubt it’s as orange as it appears in that picture. probably natural leather color. It will darken. And can be darkened if you like.

You’re an elephant hunter. What about covering it in elephant hide

I like the orange colored case but what @Altitude sickness said would be a great addition. Covered in elephant hide.

Unusual to see a striker block in a fitted gun case . But very nice .

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.
