Online Customs form - SOUTH AFRICA

Just back from SA, since it was optional as of two weeks ago I elected to not fill it out, had $6k USD on me (which is under the $10k USD max amount allowed), customs guy was half asleep and no questions were asked. My experience in customs/immigration situations around the world is to truthfully answer the questions that are asked using the least words possible, not volunteer information that is not asked for and to generally keep my mouth shut until required to do otherwise. YMMV.

At least they could do a basic grammar check before publishing.

Sheesh.

Just asked my PH in Moz - he said not mandatory yet, but might have to fill it out at the airport.

I'll know for sure in a few days.

I’m heading out in 13 days and my SAR is done but I highly doubt any of the SAP will remove their faces from their phone long enough to even care.

Anything new on this? Will be transiting through to Moz in 35 days or so…. Thanks

I travelled into RSA on 12 June 2025 and was there for 10 days. I filled out the form online. I was never asked about it but I will say it was the shortest time in passport declaration in 7 trips. And as stated above, the SAPS guys didn’t even raise their eyes from their phones in rifle check…

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
