Part1:
Mind you...Rumor has it....I can neither confirm nor deny having any such knowledge..., However....
Story is:
A local law enforcement officer while on an obscure/questionable area routine patrol, the officer's K-9 alerted as a "gentleman" was finishing the grave he had dug in his front yard for Halloween.
The officer stopped released his K-9 and the dog positively acknowledged there was a dead body buried in the "gentleman's" grave. The officer immediately contacted a detective and asked that the detective respond to the address with a search warrant.
While awaiting for the detective to arrive with the search warrant two more officer's arrived at the location.
Shortly after the detective's arrival with the search warrant the grave was dug up and a male human corpse was discovered, followed by an immediate full scale investigation and subsequent interrogation of the "gentleman".
The "gentleman" responded quite manner factually to all of the detective's qyestions and that he wasn't quite sure; but he (the "gentleman") thought he had purchased the corpse at the local Walmart a few days prior to burying it. Because it (the cadaver) looked so life like. Further investigation proved the "gentleman" had not purchased the corpse at the local Walmart.
During a follow up interrogation, having been shown the facts that he had not purchased the corpse from the local Walmart. The "gentleman", after a thoughtful pause responded; "Then it must have been my wife that purchased to corpse and that she was responsible for the male corpse he had buried".
The detective stated he needed to ask the "gentleman's" wife some questions regarding the male corpse. The "gentleman" quaintly responded that he wasn't sure where his wife "was presently", (as in Heaven or Hell), because his wife had "departed" him quite suddenly on the same day, (days earlier), the male corpse appeared. She had maxed out 3 credit cards; 1each on: Amazon, Craigslist, Etsy, and Lowe's (ending balance remaining on the credit card). Noted Lowe's purchases: various gardening tools, flower seeds, and a rose bush.
The case remains "a cold case". After 72 hours of variius integrations and local jail confinement; The "gentleman" was never formally charged with a crime. The male cadaver has never been, or yet, positively identified. The "gentleman's" wife has yet to be located for questioning.
Hence There is a nice flower garden and a well, neatly trimmed rose bush at the head of where the male corpse was originally discovered.
Now the rest of the "rumor".
Background/ Recap:
Only the male corpse was collected, found just 4 feet deep; from the top of the ground/ "grave".
The K-9 alerted, law enforcement found "A" corpse, the ground retained the (dog's) sent of "A" corpse....that was found.
The "gentleman's" wife has yet to be located and to be questioned.
A well cared for rose bush and flower garden where there once had been a Halloween "decoration(?)/ "grave" located by law enforcement.
The "gentleman" still owns the property but has since relocated. He now hired a lawn care company to maintain the yard; with explicit instructions on how the yard is to be maintained. Included in those instructions is how the rose bush is to be trimmed yearly. The flowers are to be turned over into the ground in spring and the weekend 3 weeks prior to Halloween every year.
No one knows how, when, or why, new flowers are planted each spring and grown through the summer and until the lawn care company turns them into the ground prior to Halloween each fall.
