Whomever, coined the phrase, "Land Ho!" was just as excited to finally see land as a modern day sailor.
Modern day sailor:
Damn!, I bet whomever coined that f..king phrase "land ho! was also seeing a mirage.
Been to sea for 12 months and the only land we past by was a speck of an island of dry land with a single palm tree that had a skeleton propped up against it and an S.O.S. in seashells and 6 icebergs.
