Hello everyone,
I stumbled across this site while doing research into a rifle for a future elk hunt. I am left-handed, which makes finding a high quality rifle challenging.

I’ve been to South Africa twice and hope to go back soon. I had the notion that a hunting safari was going to be insanely unaffordable, but I’m surprised to see that it can be less than a US elk hunt. I may be altering my plans.

My most frequent hunting is for whitetail, mostly by bow. I also do an annual pilgrimage to South Dakota for pheasant.

Nice to meet you all.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
