New ammunition from Swift

They are loading the 375 Ruger so I hope they will consider the 416 Ruger as well.

One would hope but, the 416 chambered only by Ruger (as best I know), and at much less volume than the 375 (in-house), it's not a strong possibility (my opinion).

CT it seems to be gaining popularity in Africa. Time will tell.

That's right, they are now selling LOADED ammunition.

We used these last yr in Namibia in Rem loads Scirocco/06,,180gr...They were very accurate and recovered looked like ads..Tough enough for anything as most went right through..Most animals ran a little ways before dropping with perfect shot ..I may try Trophy Bonded Tip next time,,PH told me they really dropped 'em....3 oryx, warthogs, hartebeast, impala

It may also improve bc and increase velocity at impact and reduce drop.
The breakaway solids polymer tip isn't likely to have any affect at the ranges they are intended to be shot at. Most will be less than 75 yards with the balance of them for ele at less that 25 yards. BC makes almost no difference at distances less than 300 yards anyway for high velocity rifle rounds.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
