Need a Fishing Charter. West New York - NJ

Going to visit my brother (October 8th to 12th) who relocated from San Francisco to New York and is living temporarily in New Jersey.

I want to take him salt water fishing for the day. We’ll charter a boat. It could be Stripers or travel to a Tuna boat if that makes sense. Neither of us know anything about East Coast Fishing. We will need to rent gear too.

If anyone has first hand knowledge or information about fishing charters around New York, New Jersey or the area, please let me know. He has a nice truck, so we could drive a couple hours one way…

Call Haskell’s in Westhampton and other fishing shops in the Hamptons for referrals. Montauk, at the end of the island, is famous for sport fishing.

Tightlines in Southampton is the other shop that should be helpful. I cannot remember the owner’s name, but he is a nice guy. All the shops on the East End of the Island are helpful, and they can point you in a good direction. Summer season is over, and it should be a lot easier to get a charter.
