Bought a pair of Merrell boots for my trip to the Idaho mountains.

I wear 13B in some shoes, 14A (very narrow for those who don't grok American shoe sizes) in others.

The Merrell medium width in Thermo Glacier Mid Waterproof fit great. They are just a skosh wide. But if you have narrow feet like I have, Merrell is a good place to start looking. Most medium width shoes flop around on my feet. These fit quite snugly.

The speed lace eyelets at the top are very snug on the laces. You have to give an extra tug on the laces to seat them all the way in, but once in, the laces aren't going to slip out.

I've owned a couple pair of their hiking boots and they were very comfortable. Unfortunately they didn't stay waterproof very long, especially the last pair. The Goretex liner failed leaving me with wet feet when walking through dew covered grass.

Look at Whites, they will custom make a boot to your feet. It is a simple process. They cost more, you do get what you pay for. Just something to look into.

@sgt_zim , same issue but have had good luck with New Balance, Danner and Red Wing boots.

My grandpa had narrow feet and always wore Red Wing work boots because they were the only narrow boot he could find. Looks like there are few more options now.

That's a bummer. If I run into that issue with them, I supposed I'll just start coating them with beeswax the way I do to keep my LL Bean and Justin boots soft (and waterproof).

do you have a link?

I too have narrow low arch thin feet. Merrells, Danners and New Balance have worked, but I still have to add insoles.

If you like merrel boots… give their trail running shoes a try… incredibly comfortable.. and very durable… most running shoes last me 6-8 months tops…. I’ve had my current Moab’s for 11 months and they’re still going strong…

I have 3 pairs of Wesco Boots that were custom fit by them, absolutely amazing. Not cheap, but as you said, you get what you pay for. Along with Wesco and White's is Nick's. All three of these companies cater to the Pacific North West logging along with the wildlife firefighting industry. Top quality kit.

I am also a B width. I bought the Lowa Renegade because they come in narrow width. I also use arch support insoles that help me tremendously. www.the insole store.com
Thanks for sharing your experience

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.
