So, I have less than 45 days before my trip to Namibia to Ozondjahe Safaris and I am looking to purchase a voltage converter but am not sure what to get. I have researched many types and I keep getting mixed answers as to "type D", "type M", etc. I also seem to locate adapters but not voltage converters. Can anyone please help me out with this, Have you been to Namibia? and if so, what did you use/have for the voltage conversion. THANKS - Jeff

Jeff, If I was on the market to purchase one here is the voltage converter that I would get: http://www.amazon.com/Simran-200-Converter-International-Blackberry/dp/B000W9DJ1Q

An article on the subject: South Africa Electrical Converter & Adapter: http://www.africahunting.com/threads/south-africa-electrical-converter-adapter.15176/

Note: the Namibian standard is 220/230 Volts AC 50 Hz, three-pin 15 amp outlets however you will find the Standard European 220 Volts, two-pin outlets at Ozondjahe Safaris.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
