Sako 85 Bavarian in .308 Win. Still have to take it out to the range. Hope to put it to good use in the years to come for Whitetail Deer, Black Bear, and some African Plains game.
They are nice well balanced rifles. They point well and have a decent pistol grip, unlike many a Yank rifle stock which is made from a skinny blank to save money. Also a decent chambering. At least you didn’t call it a Sako ‘Barbarian’, unlike one of our Aussie member! Have fun.Sako 85 Bavarian in .308 Win. Still have to take it out to the range. I have hunted in the past with a silencer and they are excellent. Unfortunately, where I live now they are not legalThey are surprisingly popular here in Germany. 95% of all new rifles are now threaded for a silencer, so they make a variant for Europe that is set up that way as most of us are hunting with a silencer.
This was a custom shop rifle with upgraded woodBeautiful rifle indeed.
And great wood! Did you ask for an higter grade wood, or just got lucky?
