I finally got all my mounts into one place. I was surprised how big my elk was, but I kept it as the centerpiece.

I do have one question for my fellow AH hunters. Has anyone done a full body mount of a steenbok at rest an placed it under a glass coffee table or side table? I'm returning to Namibia this year with my wife and would like another one, but full mount.

It is surprising how much room any mounted trophy takes up.

I think you may have an issue with a Steenbok "bedded" under a glass table. I think there might be too much height to work. A Cabinet might work though.

I can suggest that you go look at the forms on a taxidermy supply site and see what the dimensions are.

Love those big-bodied Whitetail!

Where are they from?

Add a nice hearth to the fire place and you will have a great place for a bedded steenbok!

I like the idea, but I really wanted a center piece that would attract attention in the center of the room.

Maybe Guinea fowl instead? A small cat? I'm hunting with now again when I go back, so I'm somewhat limited.

Looking good!

Very nice space! I’m envious!
I think you should cover the top of the shelves with predator skulls...bear, coyote, bobcat, caracal, genet, cougar, etc! Man would I be jealous then!!!

Good looking room. We grow big bodied whitetail here in Kansas

Nice, thanks for sharing!

I'm thinking about putting some hand made snow shoes across the top behind the elk. Give it that outdoor adventurer look.

Yes they are. I go out there every year to my family's ranch. Kansas had some beautiful spaces, too.

That’s an awesome “little” trophy room. I hope I have a little room that looks as good as yours one day!

Thanks Jake!

I'm just lucky to have a wife that loves adventure as much as I do.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
