The rifle arrived at my FFL about 12 days ago and I went through the CA registration process and finally picked it up today (10 day wait plus weekend). So, 6 months and a week from order to in my hands.

Overall very happy with it. Fits real well. It has the claw mounts and once at the range I will probably put a comb sleeve with some padding on it. The comb is a compromise, works with red dot and sights but will be a bit low for scope I believe.

It also feels very light compared to my .500 NE, though with the scope on it would probably be about the same.

Heading to CBP tomorrow for the 4457s.

Here are a couple of quick pics, I ordered it with standard engraving.

Lovely rifle, lovely wood. Enjoy!

What is the weight if you don’t mind me asking?

Beauty, and unless the image is flipped over, the cheekpiece is on the correct side!

Congratulations! That’s a beauty, hope you get to take in on a few hunts

A true beauty...and LEFT handed! Very well done.

Very nice. I love the wood. This and your .500 will make a great combo.

Beautiful rifle!

Looks great, Andy! The wood turned out awesome. It's a perfect companion to your 500 (I find the 9.3 to be less finicky than the 375.) Good luck on your hunt!

That is a gorgeous looking stock on that double, good luck on your hunt

Lovely lean elegant thing. Did it come with fitted rings for those bases?

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
