Hello from a new comer to this site and a new comer to double rifles in general. I have had an interest in owning a double rifle for many years and have finally bit the bullet and brought home this used Krieghoff Classic with a set of 375 Flanged barrels and a set of 7x65R barrels. I had something of a struggle finding a rifle that was chambered in 450 nitro or smaller, left handed and fell within my price range. This gun really fit the bill. I will take it to Africa in the spring for a plains game hunt than hopefully a hunt for a buffalo in the next year or two. Does anyone know the load that Krieghoff sighted these rifles in with in the early 2000's?

Come on, bro. We gotta have pictures or it didn't happen. ;)

Welcome aboard, BTW. Caution: the folks on this board will convince you that you don't have nearly enough guns. I've been induced into buying 6.5x55, 280AI, 9.3x62, and 404 Jeffery since I joined here. You've been warned. :D

And welcome aboard !

Welcome to AH!

Post pictures of the proof marks on the barrel flats--someone here will possibly decipher what it was originally regulated with.

You're coming along slowly...we have high hopes for your future.

Welcome to the addiction. That's a nice, practical set of barrels that covers most things well. Will you be using iron sights or some kind of red dot or optic?

Welcome aboard

Welcome. Congrats on your purchase.

I think used Krieghoff classics are one of the best values in double rifles.

One of the best parts about a Krieghoff is that you can get factory service in the states without having to ship the gun off to Europe.

You can hunt every single species of game in Africa with your combo.

Welcome to AH and welcome to double rifles, you will enjoy it a great deal.

Don't forget scopes! These people are a terrible influence. I asked for opinions on an affordable dangerous game scope recently, hoping to spend less than a grand, and I ended up with a fucking Zeiss!

Oh I'm relentless on good optics...and I won't even say I'm sorry about that! :)

Isn't it true that double rifles are like meth? First time you try one you will be jonesing for more? Asking for a friend.......

Congrats on your new addiction......errrr......I mean double rifle!

You've obviously been resisting the enablers advisory council. We They only have your best interests in mind. So far, only a 9.3.x74R DR with 7x65R barrels, 3-375s (1 rebarreled to 458 Lott), 2-9.3x62s, and an '06 have somehow managed to find their way here, along with ammo and components for 2 other 458 calibers typically found in DRs; I keep expecting one of those to show up unexpectedly one of these days as well. You really do need to pick up the pace :A Shades:

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
