Hello - wanted to see if anyone here has, or has owned as Murray Folding Rifle Case. I was thinking I might order the one they have listed as the Murray KK International Folding Rifle Case. I normally travel with my hard case, but was thinking this sounded like a good idea. I have a Murray sling, which is fantastic, and from what I've heard his leather rifle cases are quite nice. Once I get to camp, the idea of a lighter soft case seems like a decent idea.

I am curious as to how well it folds (I am assuming it is designed to do so without overly stressing the leather). It is not cheap, and I could certainly get a basic canvas type soft case to pack, but if this is good quality, folds well and offers suitable protect, I may spring for it. If anyone of you happen to have this case or experience with it, I would be very interested in hearing your opinion. Also if you might have any photos - the Murray website has two of the exterior, folded and unfolded. How does the interior look and is the muzzle are well padded?

Thank you in advance.

A soft case can be a great idea
But I’m no help with the Murray folder. TCI in Bulawayo makes a great cape buff and canvas case if need a plan B. Cheers

I would not dissuade you from getting anything from Murray Custom Leather.
He makes excellent products, of which I own a few.

While we were in Africa, I used gun slips from Bore Stores.
Not as traditional as leather, but very packable for us in the Pelican rifle case we have.
Inexpensive, protective of the rifle while on the bakkie and can be washed.
Washed is important, everything came home with a coating of African red dust.
I can't remember the exact ones we have, but it's something like this.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
