Namibia, Canada,
Interested in what a mountain reedbuck hunt is like? Fun? Challenging? Long shots? How to they taste?
Thanks for any info or advice.

Yes! Great animals. They are small.... shots typically not “too far”. Good table fare. I saw dozens on my last trip a couple weeks ago.

An animal I wasn’t interested in until I saw one! Truly a beautiful little guy. I will hunt them again.

Very fun hunt and great table fare. You could possibly combine them with Klipspringer and double your fun! That is what I did and will definitely hunt both animals again.
As for shot distance, probably depends on the specific area/terrain. Shots can be real close, I missed a running ram at about 30 yards, or a few hundred yards.

Great little critters to hunt and very good eating.

Hunted this one last year ago in the hills of Natal.

About 40 meters uphill shot, they keep moving all the time, you have to be fast. Lots of vegetation in this area.

Honestly, while your at it.... depending upon where you go.... consider Klipspringer, Steenbok, Common Reedbuck, Vaalie, etc.... many are in same area. All great. Saw several on my last trip.... low on time & low on funds.... [emoji57]

I see cull hunts for Mtn Reedbuck advertised here from time to time

Mtn Reedbuck was my #1 animal. I love hunting mountains, - it's similar to Coues Deer in habitat and tactics. GREAT Eating,
I shot mine just under 200 yds.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
