Meopta Optics

I own two of the Zeiss Conquest 4x fixed, built by Meopta. I would buy 4 more if I could find them.

I also have Meopta Meopro 8x32 binocular, I bought 4 years ago. Forgot to register them for warranty. Have enjoyed using them for range work, hunting, and just to view the birds around my house at the Manchac swamp. Optics are very good, great color definition, acuity and low light performance, similar but not equal to Swarovski. Beats most other known brands, hands down.

At the shooting range, I knocked the binocular off the bench onto hard concrete.
Then the image and focus were out of alignment. Dumb ass move.

I sent an email to Meopta for a Return Authorization, at their warranty center in Virginia.

I told them I knocked them over on concrete slab (specifically noted in the instructions to not let them fall onto a hard surface). Asked what the cost is to repair, as it was my fault.

Got a RA the next day, shipped them out and in 5 days was told the diopter adjustment was out of spec, and they sent a brand-new binocular. All done in 7 days.

Awesome service, and I am now a loyal customer for life as long as they keep working this way.
I wish they still made the 4x (Zeiss Conquest) as it is the best hunting scope I have used.

I was very happy with my MeoStar R2 1-6x24.

Solid, dependable, decent red dot, good clarity and reasonably priced. Quite heavy.

I'd say it's roughly equivalent to the Zeiss conquest and other entry level options from the big Euro brands, maybe even marginally better. Not as good as the absolute top of the line offerings from those manufacturers, sure, but 1/3 the money. Way better than anything offered by the usual US suspects such as Leupold.

Do any of you Gents have experience with the Meopta products?

I have 2 meopta 3.5 to 10x 44. One with the Z plex reticle the other with the bdc reticle. Both excellent scopes that are clear and track precisely. If I can see 22 cal bullet holes at 100 yards and get an extra 15 to 20 minutes ofe hunting before dawn and at dusk.
The bdc reticle is fantastic and the meopta balistic calculator online for the scope corresponds very closely to my balistic calculations.
On my 25 the graduations give me a shooting distance of around 600 yards with a 115gn nosler combined technology silver tips

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
