Looks like they've finally gotten to it, but with a few hiccups which I have faith they'll straighten out.

Those are good looking rifles, a walnut stock option would be great. I picked up a Trapper a couple of weeks ago, I think Ruger did a nice job on them. Fit and finish seems very good.

I hope they bring back the 357/38 with a threaded barrel. Always wanted a lever gun for my Omega 36 suppressor.

Man I hope they figured these out. They are such awesome guns. Ruger does such a good job with stuff though I think they will produce a better, stronger and more accurate lever gun than Marlin ever could. plus the .45/70 is just a really cool pumpkin lobber. Low pressure, heavy cast lead bullets and short, easy handling rifles are my jive.

I don’t know if a .458 405gr bullet at 1735fps is a pumpkin roller, but it stirrs up a commotion when it lands.
iI like it!

All that said,I got a chance to handle chiappas 45/70 with a 16" HALF OCTAGON take-down barrel! It was probably the slickest looking gun I have seen in a long time. Short amd handy... a little heavy for a trapper model. But it is based on the Winchester 1886 which was TOUGH action. It is is a slick rofle. Price tag was a little steep at $1,799... and I dont need one, but cool nonetheless .looked something like the one attached. If we could get rid of some of the tacticool nonsense, it would be nearly perfect. A threaded barrel on a .45/70? Give me a break. But otherwise I would probably take one of these over the marlin. .
