LVPO question for a DG rifle

I’d recommend a 2-10 type of scope. I have Leupold VX5 2-10s on both my 375 H&H and 416 Rem Mag. I run a 1-5 on my 404Jeffery. I’m more comfortable shooting at greater distances with both the 375 and 416 than the 404. Of your looking for a Leupold scope I recommend reaching out to forum member @Mark Biggerstaff, he can help with Leupold scopes. I’ve bought quite a few from him.
Meopta makes a 2-10x42 Optika five that you can find for less than $400. I have a few of them. Tested one against some Zeiss Conquest binos, and a VX 5HD leupold 2-10x42 - damn thing outperformed both in low light conditions - I stapled a snellen chart onto a tree in the ravine in my back yard to test this. Did the same thing with a VX-6HD 1-6x24 vs. Meopta Optika 6 1-6x24 - Meopta won again - kind of nuts - I was a huge Leupold guy, but I am converting everything to Meotpa now.

There are different options on this scope topic but here's one I tried last season with good results...of all things, a Nightforce NX8 1-8x24 F1 with lighted reticle on a Blaser mount. I put it on a .416 and used it for lion, nyala, wildebeest and with a Swaro TM35 thermal on bushpig in pitch darkness. One shot each except for insurance on the lion. Held up well to recoil and some miles in the bush. I showed the reticle to several PHs and they loved it.

I have a basic Leupold 3x9 on my 375 H&H. No need to complicate things.

I would also vote for Trijicon. They have held up good to “drop tests” and there was that example of one thrown out of a truck at 50mph that kept working for the remainder of the Safari.

I installed the Credo HX 1-6x24 on my 375. I liked that the reticle was etched versus wire on the Accupoint.

Not to hijack the thread again, but oddly enough after the discussion of QD rings I noticed yesterday and fairly new rifle was not reliably, picking up the second round from the magazine.

So this morning, I removed the scope because I couldn’t see exactly what was going on. Turned out one of the feed rails from the magazine was bent a little too far in words and needed to be bent outward.

So after removing the scope and the barrel action from the walnut stock, reassembled torqued properly and scope reinstalled one test shot everything went back to zero

Reaffirming my belief in QD rings and repeatable torque settings

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
