Looking to re-scope several rifles, seeking input

I have several rifles that I am looking to upgrade optics on, traditional wood/blued steel hunting rifles. I have multiple Zeiss and Leupold scopes, love them and have served me well. The fact is that I can not afford the investment to go the Leupold/Zeiss route at this time. I know that searching the auction sites looking for deals is always an option but lack the patients and time to continuously search. Not a tactical guy, zero scope, put the cap on and forget about it. I am looking for the best quality $400-$700 scopes for hunting rifles, all shots 300 yards and under. I have been intrigued by; Meopta, Hawke and Athlon specifically (Ilike to be a little different). I would appreciate input on the three specific brands that I have mentioned. Thank you.

I have an Athlon spotter and it compares to other, more widely named brands. I’d consider GPO for a scope that would fit your criteria. I have also bought big name glass used or reconditioned at discounted prices as well.

Meopta have worked well for me.

They have a stellar reputation for optical quality.

Yes, leaning very hard the Meopta direction. Also just started looking at the GPO scopes, they seem pretty stellar as well?

Trijicon Huron and Accupoint are the best options in that price bracket if you don't want a big tactical knob twisting getup.

No, definently not getting rid of my Zeiss and Leupolds. Looking to rescope; removing various older Weaver, Tasco and Redfield scopes with not so clear glass and poor btightness compared to todays scopes.

Sightron offers some good value in hunting scopes. I have a few and they've served me well.

You can find used Leupolds on eBay 1x4, 2x7 and 2.5x8 within your price range simple scopes not much you cannot do within those magnification ranges

Vortex has a good line for several budgets

I have a number of Meoptas, mainly MeoPro (both Czech and USA made) and MeoStar models. I've found them all impressive. Excellent clarity, brightness and durability.

Do you happen to be a veteran or any sort of public servant (law enforcement, fire, paramedic, etc) or work in any way associated with the outdoors or shooting industry?

If so check out Leupold VIP, Guidefitter, and Expert Voice..

Much of the Leupold and Zeiss lines are available within your price range with the discounts associated with those programs..
