With bullets and ammo getting hard to find.
What would you chose in factory ammo? Only 4 choices!
Only 300 grain!
Solid and soft bullets!

A. Norsler in solid and soft
B. Swift in solid and soft
C. Federal in solid and soft
D. Hornady in solid and soft

Or a mix of the 4 choices above.

Please:
No other options!
Factory ammo only option!
No reloading options!

Ammo is for .375 H&H mag, and for both DG: hippo (land or water) and buff, and PG: eland and gemsbuck/oryx.

No offense but Please for this conversation any other recommendations or personal opinions I am not really interested in.

I would go with the Swift ammo because it is always in stock and a frame is an excellent bullet. Federal has good offerings including Swift a frame, but often appears out of stock. I have no experience with norma.

1. Norma - has consistently been good in my rifles
2. Federal - very good
3. Hornady - cheap, consistent, think they fixed any bullet issues
4. Swift - good bullet - tried when first came out - wasn't impressed

I edited from Norma to Nosler (misspelled). Since I had responses before the edit, I will include a 5th option: Norma.

Reason for this is, As I was checking sites for 375 bullets: Nosler, Swift (A Frames), Federal, and Hornady (which I reload with), and Nosler are my only options for reloading or factory ammo. I am not a fan of Sierra or Speer bullets.

Not on your list, but Barnes 300 gr TSX in 375HH.

Every place I checked for Barnes in 375 bullets was out of stock. That is why there are only 4 choices listed plus the 5th choice added in a late edit.

Swift A-frame

Barnes 300gr. TSX on GB. 200 rounds. last bid $455. Or, wait till Nosler has their Safari bullet sale. 300gr Partitions @ $50 box. But, they’re usually always out of .375.

What are the bullets in the Federal ammo?

@Ridge Runner
My vote goes to swifts first
Nosler 2nd
And Hornaday 3rd
Bob.

Unquestionably Swift A frames. Thee preferred choice in my opinion by most African PH’s. Better yet ask your PH. What I did for my 375 Ruger was have superior ammo out of North Carolina send me a test box of different bullets, primer ,powder and then see what shot best. After testing the results were Swift A frames in softs and Northfork solids.

Swift A-Frame.

I personally prefer the Federal load to the actual Swift one - or at least my rifles seem to do so (sub MOA).
Whatever solid shoots closest. My rifles again like the Federal, in this case with the 300 gr Hydro load.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
