Looking for rifle in .404 Jeffrey caliber, must be able to use current ammo!

Want to find bolt rifle in the .404 Jeffery caliber.
Prefer Mauser type action.
Wood stock, do not need scope as this will be a DGR open sites or RMR.

Newer rifles can use the current ammo being made by Hornady, etc. Pressures and certain bullet types can be damaging to older rifles.

Some 404J were built to some continental specs. They don't take SAMI standard American ammo. I think that is what OP is talking about .

There was a custom Ruger No. 1 in 404 Jeff for sale on LongRangeHunting.com two weeks ago. Not a bolt action but a good one to get if you need one quickly.
