I bought a 550 American in 9.3x62 from a board member. I have a 550 Safari Mag in Rigby as well.
There has been lots of nasty comments about both the LUX and American stocks. The LUX stock seems to really need some adjustment of angles to properly deliver high recoil to the shoulder properly. Shooting one 416 with and one without the changes is astonishingly different.
The American stock on the 9.3 shoots very well. Recoil seems minimal and the rifle shoots very well ... so I would not be afraid of buying one.
The 9.3 seems to be very easy to load for. the board member recommendations have been strong for H414 and for RL-15. I had some RL-15 and so used it. First load was a mid range load with Speer 270s just for cheap deer ammo. Even having no experience with this rifle, it printed around an inch at 100 and I could actually tell when I had one that would be out a little. Recoil was moderate, and noise is not bad at all.
Am very pleased with the 9.3. Have fun with yours!
Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?
Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689
If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
