LIVE from Texas Taxidermy Convention 2025

The Studio Division. Means multiple folks could have worked on the project under one shop.

The lighting in the convention hall is crappy and besr I could do with my phone.

I have a ton more and will post tmrw.

For the record, I entered a roebuck and chamois

That buffalo piece would make a great centerpiece for a trophy room! Some beautiful work displayed

There’s a lot of artistic talent in there and I’m over here struggling to draw stick figures

Birds. These are a mix of Masters and Professional. Not every bird, just a few that caught my eye.

Master deer and gameheads. Again not all entries just a few I strolled by.

THANKS FOR SHARING WITH US!

Some well done taxidermy. It’s almost impossible to do them Justice with a cell phone. Especially when too close.

Went yesterday and there is some extraordinary work on display.

Some enthusiastically YES, and some, sadly, no.....

OMG awesome. So much talent in one place, what a joy it would be to spend a day looking and learning in there.

Thanks for letting me have a look @buck wild. Outstanding.

There is definitely some great artwork and artists there!
What really caught my eye was the spots on most of the bobcats. Beautiful!

Those are excellent. Which division did you enter?

I have a piece entered in Original Art and my mounts are in Professional Gameheads.

I’m in the Masters Division for Whitetail, but havent entered a deer in over 18 yrs. I don’t compete to try and win anymore. Just every few years I get the itch with one of my personal animals.

I have short video walk through videos of each section that I’ll try to upload in next couple days

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
