This is a pre-HD style VX-6 from about 10 years ago that is in fantastic shape. It is illuminated with the very desirable circle dot reticle for fast acquisition. The glass is perfect and there are no ring marks. There are two faint scratches on the edge of the turret caps, which I tried to picture. There is a CDS dial set up for a short barreled .308, but this is better suited as a DG scope with the capped turret (I will include both). The scope is located in D/FW and I will give preference to local buyers.

$850 shipped to an established member only. Thanks!

Why do you feel it’s better as a capped turret DG scope rather than using the CDS dial? Looking for something like this to save weight for a short range elk woods rifle but like to dial if a shot presents itself.

The old style CDS dials didn’t have the zero lock, which is a much more reliable system. I also don’t like the look. It’s just a personal preference, however.

Great scope for that price. I'm surprised it's not sold already..

In case anyone doesn't know, that scope on a low setting with the illumination on functions like a red dot, just bigger and heavier but also has the flexibility of magnification. In fact if you shoot both eyes open with your dominant eye on the scope at 1 or 1.5x, you could pack mud in the objective and still see the illuminated reticle on the target;) Same with any other brand in a similar situation. I honestly think my VX 6 scopes are about 90% of a Z6 Swarovski.

I have a Swarovski Z I, 1-8 and for the money Leupold wins out. Adjustments are also more consistent on my Leupold.

At Kalahari Safari, the Small Things Are the Big Things
The thrill of the stalk. The stillness of the wait. The age-old rhythm of the hunt.
It’s not just about the size of the trophy. It’s about the stories that will be told for years.
We believe the memories are the true prize. The small things are the big things.
And we’re proud to offer a hunting experience that honours exactly that.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
9 game animals taken
