Wow what a great time and wonderful trophies. @TMS Manuel shared with me that he tries to do the cats early while the grass is still tall and green as it is more difficult for them to hunt the antelopes. Also, we saw a lot of young zebra and hartebeest in late October. I assume as you get later in the season more young are being dropped and makes for easier prey and less chance the predators would come to baits, etc.?

Love the duiker! Hope the horns survive the boiling in original condition. Might not hurt for the taxidermist to have photos.

@thi9elsp , 100% correct about the longer grass , keeps the scent , our leopards are more baboon killers , but will take advantage of any food .

I talked to @TMS a bit ago.

Cruiser is fixed and on his way back. There was some excitement as the guys started shooting at the government convoy Simon was in. Simon said shooting was within about 50 yards of him.

All is safe now and he is stopped for the night.

I was driving, and two friends in other landcruiser, Courtney is in Xai-Xai, we just went to fix and recover the one that broke. We spending tonight in Xai-Xai, doing some deep sea fishing, Tuesday back to SA.

Sounds like the fish are biting and we are all anxiously awaiting the pictures to prove that Simon can actually catch a fish.

To the rest of AH, there has been a long tradition on whatsapp of Simpon talking about all the fishing he has done... But he never seems to have been able to actually show any proof of it.

To top it off, when I met Simon and his wife in Joberg... Sitting down for lunch and chatting, Simon tells his wife to please find a picture of him and a fish to show
