I leopard just arrived from Zambia. Now, is the time for very important decisions. Open mouth or snarled open mouth or closed. Which pose as well. I would love to see pictures of personal leopard mounts or ones you saw and really liked.

Here’s my top choices so far.

I’m leaning towards the open mouth snarling as well but trying to decide on the pose and pedestal vs natural tree limbs ans etc

Which taxidermist are you going with?

I have the "panting mouth" on mine.

Let's see some pictures of your Leopard!

I like the two, top right and second one below top right. The one on the rocks and the one on the limb with white background.

Big one!! Did you weigh him or measure the skull??

Haven’t measured the skull yet. We guessed the weigh which is difficult but we guessed 170lbs give or take. It took everything I had to lift him up. I’ve packed out moose and elk a number of times and they didn’t compare to the cat.

I prefer either a closed mouth or slack jawed. I’m not a real big fan of snarling myself, but that’s just me. I should have a leopard back soon from Tanzania and will most likely mount it slack jawed.

I don’t like the open mouth or the snarl, maybe because I’m a dentist and can’t get over the fake teeth :) And plastic tongue etc

The snarl is also too much negative energy. To see that mean face every day no thanks.

I really like the natural look of a relaxed cat. I guess I need to finally kill a leopard to choose how I want mine mounted :)

Hey Odinsraven. Is that post from Jefferry 404 legitimate? I don't know him. Thanks!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
