Try 5.11
I too had a very disappointing experience with the Kuiu Attack pants
Considering how much they charge for them, I thought it was a rip off - pun fully intended as it is exactly what the pants did in the bush
That cured me from spending big bucks on trendy, fashionable hunting clothes...
Try 5.11 pants
BeeMaa, you will not be disappointed.
I have been wearing nothing else but their "Fast-Tac Urban" pants (navy, charcoal, khaki) at work for years, and yes I mean the pants will last for years, and brown to travel to Africa, where I also wear them on hot safaris. Ah, if only they made them in dark green! but dark brown works just fine too. Actually dark brown pants and dark green shirts break the silhouette very effectively.
When it will be colder on Safari (Karoo in winter), I find their "Taclite Pro" pants (and shirts) about perfect.
In my experience 5.11 shirts and pants made with polyester ripstop fabric are indestructible, super comfortable, well-fitting, and reasonably priced.
But if you think that you HAVE to spent a lot of money to get good gear, or if you HAVE to be wearing a name, I second
roverandbrew for the Fjallraven Vidda Pro. They do not deliver in my view twice the value for twice the price of the 5.11, but they certainly are good.
