Aoudad size estimate
Got this aoudad on trail cam and I’m trying to get a better estimate on horn length and overall size. What do you guys think he measures based on the picture? Any guesses appreciated!

It’s a mature ram for sure. Ground check him. They’ve become a pest in Texas.

Somewhere between $8500.00 and $15,000.00. Too difficult to tell from the pics.

Upper 20s to maybe 31”. Nice one. Those jokers are really nomadic you may never see him again, shoot him next time you see him. That first pics he has big bases. They are hard to judge the way all their horns are shaped differently.

31, Maybeeeeeee 32".

A nice one for sure. 30” ish? Solid bases.

Nice chaps, good to great mass, bases almost touching, that's a mature aoudad. Probably not going to get much bigger. I don't think he's 30+ but definitely a shooter.

Nice, I’d love one of them, 29in to 30in ?

Look a bit out of place on the flat & near a feeder !

He has great chaps. I think that matters as more as horn length if you are going to have him mounted.

28-29”. I dont think he is 30

He’s younger and 25-27 inches probably.
Hes legitimately still juvinile

His face is still very narrow and slender.
No block head

They get a whole lot bigger and nastier than that. That is no trophy despite what some have said

Just like Nilgai, a lot of people have no idea what they are looking at. They think young Nilgai are trophy animals all the time.

Your sheep is like this one seen here, the hunter completely shot the wrong animal out of a herd and it was a bummer killing such a young sheep

Now this is what a mature ram looks like. Completely dwarfing and young ram.

Only aoudads I have ever seen were mounted ,so I do not feel qualified to judge horn length but if he were in my scope I would shoot him and do my happy dance.

If that makes you happy,

But I think op would be disappointed with it, ground shrink and wall shrink for sure…

So, are these on a game ranch behind a fence? Terrain looks very little like their normal habitat. If so, like most sheep, they easily become habituated to human activity, and will come to a feeder like clockwork. Out West around Marathon and Alpine, they are a great and usually demanding hunt. Behind a fence it is more pick the one you want to shoot.

Sorry but you are off on this! Great mass? Not getting bigger? He’s juvenile

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
