I've owned this maker's rifles and I've always found them to be VERY well made. GLWS.

Is this rifle an 8x57j or an 8x62J? I initially assumed an 8x57J, but I believe that many post WWI rifles were 8x62J.

I can only speak for the rimmed version used in Drillings--the JR is easier to obtain than JRS and cheaper to boot. I would imagine the J, .318 non-rimmed is a bit rarer?

I believe that 8x57JS ammo is fairly easy to find so ammo should not be a problem. If you want to hunt or shoot at the range with a truly classic rifle that is capable of taking any North American game, here it is.

I know right!!?? I see used Tikka rifles with vortex vipers onboard for $2k… this rifle ought to be worth double that.
