It looks like an excellent rifle… also full price

the butt stock looks to have a lot of drop, i wonder if its the original factory stock?

That is a great price historically but the last several months everything from Ferraris and Rolex to collector firearms and highend audiophile HiFi equipment is down because of the market…
That rifle typically sold for 10k to 12k in the recent past

Does "matching bolt" mean the bolt fits and is a 458 Win bolt and is a replacement or is it number-identical/original?

For a US based collector it's a horrible value after you factor in Shipping/Import Fees. Additionally, I'd want to get hands on, that stock doesn't look original, and from the description you know it's at least been altered.

I paid less than half that a few years ago for a Pre64 .458WM African that's in better condition. Here in the states there have been multiple in the last 12mo in that $7K range that have sat for long periods of time. I think I know where one is right now with a $6800 or $7K asking price.

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
