I’m curious to know about this little rifle I found at a local gun shop it’s a Interarms 7x57 with a mannlicher stock. Has a decent little scope in it and it’s listed for 950$ US, as that’s where I’m located. Would this be a good rifle? I didn’t bother to look at the model but just the maker. Please give me some insight. Thanks

The interarms mark Xs are solid guns. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy one I found for quality. Simply of the price meets expectations or not

Usually I’d say a non magnum round they’re $6-700 rifles but 7x57 does command a premium.

I have (and have had) a few Mark X's, including a Cavalier in 7x57 that is a great shooter. As @MontanaGrant said, they are often $6-700 rifles, but the 7x57 does command a premium; as well as the full-length "Stutzen"-style stock ("Mannlicher" is a brand, Stutzen is the style of stock). This combo is usually priced either side of $1K, so that $950 is in the ballpark. If it's in nice shape, its a fair deal; but even better if you can get them to negotiate a little.

PS - take note of the four digit date code on the upper right side of the receiver, just in front of the bolt handle. This will tell you the month and year of manufacture. Anything from about 1974 onwards should have a nicely adjustable factory trigger, whereas prior years will have a traditional two-stage Mauser 98 style trigger that I would want to replace with a Timney or similar.

Have owned several interarms, whitworth and Mark X's over the years and every one of them shot well. The full stock version are currently going for 900-1500 so the one you are looking at is a fair price provided the stockand barrel are in good condition.

...as well as the full-length "Stutzen"-style stock ("Mannlicher" is a brand, Stutzen is the style of stock).

Quite correct.

Mannlicher.

Stutzen; this one a Mauser, 1939 Stoeger catalog.

From same catalog.

Good on you for having the awareness to recognize that, and the intestinal fortitude to stick with that decision. I had a rifle at a gun store sing to me this past weekend, so I know exactly what you're going for. I'm sure the right one will find you soon enough.

In the meantime, since you're not pursuing this one, some other members on the site (not me) might appreciate knowing the name of the shop and getting the opportunity to look into this rifle.

Cheers, and happy hunting!

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
