Has anyone ever inlet a semi-finished stock for a Ruger #1? The ones I'm looking at claim to be 90%-95% inlet (I know how subjective this can be!) I've inlet several bolt actions over the years. If anyone has experience, I'd like to hear how difficult it is compared to an average replacement bolt action stock. Thanks!

@Doug3006 I have done several, It would be easier to talk through it on the phone rather than in a post.
PM me a phone number and I will give you a call later this week if that works for you.

the 90-95 is very subjective, who are you looking at getting your stock set from?

Hey wait a minute, some of us would like to hear and learn about it. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I haven't chosen a stock supplier yet...and would be interested in hearing about any outfits you've used and can recommend.

@PARA45 I understand that and will put down some thoughts on it for this thread. It is just easier on the phone to determine the wood working skills of the other person, what tools they have on had, what their experience level in, and most importantly how much patience they have as inletting and final fitting isn't something to be rushed. I will give @Doug3006 a call and then kinda put together a overall discription of what we discuss and post here.

I totally understand, and some things are just too lengthy to post on a forum like this. Truthfully, I was just busting your chops, :ROFLMAO: but I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us. (y)
