It is very seldom that these old Landis in this part of the world need a frame change, rust is not an issue. Our methodology in bringing these old beauties back to useful life is simple: get all the mechanicals going right and off you go. Little or no attention to aesthetics, chalk it up to patina. The Hary Selby’s paintwork is probably 73 years old, looks great.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
