I have been a long time fan of Clay Croft, the XOverland Team and their videos. Information I have gathered from their videos have played a major role in my ability to spend over 20+days camping and hunting upland birds on public lands in Montana. This is episode 1 of their African series. It can be a challenge to import rifles into Africa just imagine importing 3 trucks from Bozeman, Montana to Africa. This video had me laughing as they worked through the red tape of RSA government and then it had me missing Africa with the sunset at the end. Enjoy!

If I went through the trouble of importing a truck to SA, it would be a lifted Dodge 2500 Cummins.
Good luck with repairs and parts. You’ll need both with a Dodge! Lol!

SA has access to better trucks than the USA. I'd be far more interested in importing an SA truck into the USA.

I'd like to figure out how to get one of their Toyota's with the diesel engine imported here to the US.

Repairs and parts would be about impossible I know, but if your going through the trouble you might as well do it in something that will get some attention!

Pretty interesting stuff - I will look into these guys.

Back in the 30s, Woody Donohue imported a boat for Bud Cottar to sail Lake Victoria/

When I was in the foreign service, I knew a lot of people that were stationed in Right hand drive Africa. They mostly owned Land Cruisers. This was before Land Cruiser was making a FJ crew cab pickup. They bought them 2nd hand in Japan and imported them to Africa. There was a method to do this, fairly common.

New Toyotas then and now are expensive in Africa.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
