I was speaking with a South African friend of mine who is deeply involved in the hunting community on that continent.

He told me that Angola was taking steps that made it look like hunting might be available there in the next few years. For various reasons Angola holds a lot of appeal to me as a place to hunt.

Has anyone heard much or anything about this or have an information about the future of hunting in Angola or knowledge of its potential?

Any info gratefully appreciated.

There is a thread about it.
On internet there is a bid on one site for hunting on three ranches in Angola.
It looks like it started. I dont know is it fenced or free range.
Starting price on bid is reasonable.

Do not expect miracles at the start (forget about giant sable).
It is just a modest start, with potential to develop further.

It looks like it is being organized with involvement of conservation force and DSC.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
